Team Tejbrant AB

My job was to restore relations with the Scandinavian outdoor companies, change the business concept into core business which was street furniture in aluminium and to start up a real export business.

When I ended my job, due to a generation shift among the owning family, The company was again very profitable, had 70% of it sales in export and excellent realations with European Outdoor Advertising companies

PPG Industries

As I have been unemployed I decided to find a company which could use my abilities. I contacted PPG Industries and their BU, Industrial Coatings and made an agreement with them that I would work on a consultancy basis and find and set up a dealer network for their Industrial Coatings, presently not present on the Scandinavian market.

This work will be finalized shortly with good and prosperous results for my client

Executive Consultant

Clear Channel Japan INC

The Company was brand new and was a Joint Venture between Clear Channel INC and Mitsui. As outdoor advertising financed street furniture had been baned in Japan, no knowledge of the concept was available in the country. Clear Channel had therefore appointed the Norwegian CEO and the Norwegian CFO to start up the company. I was asked to consult on the product knowledge. Where and what to buy when it came to light boxes, pillars and busshelters. I also concluded that buying domestically was far too expensive and therefore we had to import products.

It was also my task to teach the 22 Japanese employees the business concept and how this was carried out in Europe and the US.

Deckel Lack AB

When AB Alfort & Cronholm (Alcro) bought the independent importer of Car Refinishes (Per Deckel AB) in 1984, I was appointed CEO. My job was to bring the products imported from Akzo Coatings in the Netherlands and Germany and the products for Trucks and Busses produced by the mother company together in one company. I was also expected to increase our market position and the profitability of the company.

When I started in april 1984 the company had a market share of 8%. In December 1989 the company had a market share of 35%. We had also added non-paints to the business which was by 1989 35% of the total business.

We remained market leader and kept our high market share until the company was sold to the Akzo Nobel group in 1994 and under the Akzo Nobel flag until i resigned in December 1998
