I have just returned from travelling and working in Australia for the past 16 months and am now looking for a full time position where I can demonstrate my abilities. Temp Administration Assistant

Opal Aged Care 

I secured a 2 week contract with Opal Aged Care as an administrative assistant, which was eventually extended to 7 months, and only ended due to my leaving Australia. My duties included assisting the recruitment team in locating suitable candidates for roles, overseeing the recruitment process (i.e. arranging police history checks and drug screens, arranging assessment centres to test candidates, liaising with managers after interview and sending out contracts amongst other duties) before I was moved to the marketing department to assist them. My duties here were mostly answering calls and taking down details of all enquiries.

Contracts Manager

ConSol Parters, City of London

This was a very large and fast paced high end recruitment company. Whilst I was working for them Consol Partners was on the “Times top 100 best companies to work for” list and won a MARRA award for excellence within the recruitment industry. My role here was “Contract Manager”, I oversaw all new contracts, managed any existing contracts and queries from the contractors, liaised with management to negotiate better terms of employment whilst checking any amendments with our legal representative, as well as taking on all general admin responsibilities such as stationery orders, diary management for the directors, managing switchboard, filing and assisting the Office Manager in event planning.

Front of House Head Receptionist

London School of Commerce

My role within this school for higher education was as Front of House Head Receptionist. My main duties were to meet and greet all students, handle all enquiries from members of the public and refer possible new students to the correct marketing officer, checking VISAs to make sure students were eligible to study, liaising with the University of Cardiff to double check student files and assisting the director in any ad-hoc administration duties.

Construction Department Co-Ordinator

Acre Lifts Ltd, South East London

My role here was as “Construction Co-Ordinator” within the busy lift construction office. My main duties were to assist the directors with day-to-day management of the office, ordering stationery, diary management, answering and referring calls to the correct department, complaint management, travel booking for members of staff, event organising (Christmas party, Summer BBQ for staff etc.), project administration, filing, leasing company vehicles, arranging business and vehicle insurance.

Sales Assistant

This was a very fast paced customer service role in what was at the time the largest shopping mall in the UK. Here again I was working on the till, overseeing refunds and all transactions on the shop floor, stock management, cashing up and locking the store in the evening. Whilst working here I was “Mystery-shopped” where an anonymous person working for the company acts as a customer to test customer service and received a score of 98%.

Here I was working mainly as a cashier, the environment was very fast paced and enjoyable. My other duties included cashing up in the evening, locking the store, stock-take, ordering from the warehouse, answering phones and taking customer orders and overseeing refunds.

At the time of leaving my Secondary School I passed my GCSE's with 6 A*-C grades including an A* for English Language and C's in Maths and Science.

Hobbies and interests:

I am very interested in charity work and have put together fund-raisers for Breast Cancer UK, British Heart Foundation and Children in Need in the past 2 years. I also arranged a Bungee Jump over the O2 Arena in London for Cancer Research UK in 2011, in which myself and another friend jumped 160 ft to raise money in honour of a colleague. I love to travel and socialise with new people as well as old friends.
