Project - Watchguard Firebox i8n

Role: Team Lead, Developer and Tester

  • Led a time sensitive project - Internationalized a desktop application in 45 days.
  • Trained a team of eight professionals on internationalization, software product knowledge, and technology.
  • Developed plan and task schedule to internationalize the application in a phased manner.
  • Finished first phase of the project well before stipulated time, with added sanity testing on multiple operating systems, this resulted in procurement of additional projects from the same client for enhancement and support.
  • Effectively managed task assignments to team members, while building effective and productive working relationships with co-workers.

Project- HyPerformix (Visualizer, Data Manager, License Generator)

Role: Enhancement and Development Lead, Developer

  • Developed and enhanced multiple applications from the HyPerformix IPS Suite of products.
  • Independently managed two products 'HyPerformix Visualizer' and 'License Generator', worked alongside the Program Manager to co-ordinate tasks and delivery schedules.
  • Conducted requirement analysis and devised additional new functionality for the new release of 'Visualizer' based on client and user preferences. The new release resulted in customer satisfaction and a financial payoff for the team.
  • Developed test plans and assisted in UAT for the annual release of the IPS Suite of products.
  • Created technical documentation for a more detailed help file of 'Visualizer'.
  • Introduced a new process to track software defects centrally in the project, enabling the quality control team to identify the defects more rapidly while allowing developers to focus on assigned tasks, improving productivity.
  • Promoted twice within one year for outstanding performance.
  • Recognized for ability to manage work on concurrent projects and contribute to various additional teams.

Project- Nokia Siemens Networks - Myrio IPTV (TV through Internet Protocol)

Role: Developer, Junior SME

  • Chosen to work on an IPTV product enhancement which involved addition of High Definition video streaming.
  • Conducted presentations and training focusing on details of HD video streams to the implementation team as part of knowledge transfer.
  • Developed User Interface prototypes which included HD icons and channels for non-HD compatible set-top boxes, serving as a marketing method for customers to upgrade to HD capable services and equipment. 
  • Performed end to end UAT of the new system after HD TV streaming was implemented.

Well versed with the process of setting up a company on SAP - which includes setting up the appropriate chart of accounts, master material, vendor, and customer records, and processing transactions. Well exposed to the following modules within SAP - FI, MM, SD, CO, and PP.
