Community service

Over the past two years ( 2014 to present) I have worked on projects both in and out of school.

In 2014 I worked with first and second graders at an under privileged school every Monday . On Wednesdays I worked with eighth graders at another underprivileged school (IGIA).

Last year (2015), I  worked at a Blind school (Mathru Education Trust for the Blind) every Monday. I research, identify and conduct learning activities such us a "feel good books", songs, stories, and several other games.

I am also working with Rotary club's organisation 'Needy Heart Foundation' to support the 'gift of life scheme' wherein funds are raised for the heart surgeries of the underprivileged. I have raised funds for three surgeries already ( approximately Rs. 90,000). This is an ongoing project.

Exchange Program

I participated in two week exchange program to Stockholm (Sweden), in April 2015. Wherein I attended two schools (each for a week)  Ostra Real gymnasium and Ross Tansta gymnasium. It was a great learning experience providing exposure to a completely different culture. The first school had students of the upper middle class, with more opportunities than that of the second school. The second school  was economically backward, and had some teachers who worked for free. Interestingly, their standard of education was the same. India and Sweden are very different countries, but interacting with the students of the school made me realize that the "world is growing flat". We are growing more and more similar in our thoughts, problems, likes and dislikes.
