  • Instructed a Proseminar Freshman Interest Group of 19 students teaching time management skills and exploring career options. Organized three events each month for the residence hall of 800 students that included an educational component and contacted professionals for the events
  • Planned and budgeted community events and floor government that improved academic and social development for residents. Helped put together community plans that consisted of contacts, menu, budget, and outside presenters for each event for the next year.

KOMU 8 News- TV

Work for NBC - TV affiliate reporting and anchoring on a daily deadline including live shots, along with creating web stories for KOMU 8 News.

Pitch, produce, edit, voice and write own enterprise story every other week for KOMU 8 News. Duties also include writing scripts and more in-depth web story.

Worked alongside newscast producers for the 9 and 10 PM newscast capturing and editing video for the show. Edit and produce stories for komu.com. Duties include but not limited to: editing video, writing news stories, research, phone calls on stories, coordinating with live reporters and photographers.

Anchored and produced 90-second cut-ins for KOMU’s morning show during the Today Show.

Anchor First Nation Report for the 5 PM newscast reporting on breaking national stories. Design the map layout on the touchscreen television for World View Report in the 9 PM show and anchor including stories on breaking international stories.

KBIA Public Radio

Generate, report, edit, and voice general assignment news stories for the most listened to NPR affiliate in Mid-Missouri.

I used computer program Audition for interviewing, editing and voicing news stories on a daily deadline. Other duties involved making phone calls to sources and having story ideas every day.
