Manager, Regulatory Analysis

Directs analyses of key strategic interest, including compliance, regulatory, government, and quality programs administered by county, state, federal, and accreditation agencies/organizations. Researches and interprets regulations, compliance standards, and industry developments and provides operational leadership regarding the impacts of implementation to CareSource. Collaborates with state, federal, and accreditation agencies on regulations, quality measurements, and public policy, championing CareSource’s interests with supporting analyses. Manage a team of 6+ overseeing the development and ongoing support regulatory reporting. Responsible for completion of sections of RFPs and RFAs.

Council Member

City of Trotwood

Initially appointed to Ward 1 vacant council seat in April 2010 and elected to the position the following November. Member of the 7-person legislative body for the City of Trotwood, representing approximately 25,000 residents. Sets policies and enacts city ordinances and resolutions. Interacts with citizens, ensuring the health, safety, interest, and good of Trotwood's residents. Reviews and approves annual multi-million dollar budget, establishing the City's service programs as determined by the budget.  Approves major expenditures of public funds. Assists in the supervision and review of Council-appointed City Manager. Serves as council representative to Trotwood Planning Commission and Trotwood Parks and Recreation Board.

Key Accomplishments:

  • As council member representative on Master Plan Stakeholders Committee, collaborated with community partners, leaders, and consultants to develop a Master Plan for the city.
  • Successfully advocated for the City of Trotwood's presence on social media.
  • Passed $24MM balanced budget for fiscal year 2012, while maintaining key city services in challenging economy.
  • Collaborated with fellow council members and other senior city leadership to update the Vision and Mission Statement for City of Trotwood as part of City's Strategic Plan.
  • Recommended telephone "hotline" in which residents can now call to check latest status of council meetings.
  • Championed the creation and installation of "Rams Way" street signs to acknowledge of pride in Trotwood Schools.
