The son of two doctors, Nicolas Pelletier always enjoyed accompanying his parents on business trips to many destinations. His parents encouraged his cultural and artistic education through frequent travels and piano lessons. Inherently creative, Mr. Pelletier began drawing and creating as a child, gaining inspiration from many classic comic books. His early favorites included The Adventures of Asterix and The Adventures of Tintin; later, he came to Japanese and American works such as Dragon Ball, Superman, and Spiderman. Upon graduation from high school, Nicolas Pelletier matriculated to Cegep Marie-Victorin, a public university in Montreal, Canada. There, he trained his eye for art through the study of art history, learning about classic figures, such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, and modern visionaries. Seeking to integrate this knowledge with a skill set of his own, Nicolas Pelletier also dedicated himself to courses in illustration and design.
Today, Nicolas Pelletier enjoys a successful career as a designer of video games for online and mobile phone platforms. In charge of architecting the dynamic characters and the landscapes they inhabit, he brings a knack for narrative, as well as an acute sense of the aesthetic. Mr. Pelletier enjoys science fiction and fantasy literature that embodies a similar sense of imagination, counting his favorite writers as J. R. R. Tolkien, Isaac Asimov, C. S. Lewis, Arthur C. Clarke, and Phillip Pullman. When not engaged in work, he likes absorbing other cultures through trips abroad, with past visits to countries including Japan and China. In his leisure hours, Nicolas Pelletier practices kung fu and favors sampling cuisine from Indian culture. Also an avid music fan, he prefers the recordings of AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Led Zeppelin, and Queen.
