Since 2011, Nick Muzin has been the South Carolina Congressman Tim Scott’s Political Director and Chief of Staff. He directs communications, legislative and political activities for a Republican House freshman who has made strides in limiting government, reforming the U.S. tax code, and protecting the rights of American workers. Nick Muzin additionally guides 'Tomorrow is Meaningful,' a political action committee that Congressman Scott established in early 2012, as its National Political Director.Dr. Scott earned an M.D. from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School, which he has utilized in his activities as a political advisor. In 2004, while still in law school, he notably served as Legal Counsel for the Republican National Committee. In this role, he helped to resolve Party rules and election reform issues in the months leading up to the national Presidential election. From 2005 to 2008, Nick Muzin was an Associate Attorney with the Washington, D.C. law firm Williams & Connolly, LLP. He primarily counseled pharmaceutical firms and doctors in legal matters involving health care fraud, medical malpractice, patent infringement, and product liability. In 2008, Nick Muzin accepted a position as the ‘John McCain for President’ campaign’s Medical Advisor. In this capacity, he fielded media questions and coordinated the release of Arizona Senator’s medical records prior to the national election.Nick Muzin subsequently served for two years as Corporate Counsel with Charleston, South Carolina, based The InterTech Group, Inc. With responsibilities that spanned across a number of affiliated retail and manufacturing firms, Mr. Muzin offered strategic counsel and managed functions related to intellectual property, litigation, government affairs, and public relations. Since 2010, Nick Muzin has treated uninsured adult patients as an Internal Medicine Physician with the Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic in Charleston, South Carolina.
