Named one of the “40 most influential people in politics under the age of 40” by Time Magazine, a “political prodigy” by the Wall Street Journal, and “the bright young future of the Republican Party” by The Washington Post, Nick Ayers is an influential American political strategist and a rising political star. His earliest success came on Sonny Perdue’s 2002 campaign for Georgia Governor and then as the campaign manager for Governor Perdue’s successful re-election campaign in 2006. Nick Ayers then accepted the Executive Director position of the Republican Governors Association (RGA) in Washington, D.C. During his more than four years with the RGA, Nick Ayers expanded the role of the organization, invested more funds into gubernatorial campaigns, and saw the national number of Republican governors rise from 22 in 2007 to 29 after the 2010 elections.Most recently, Nick Ayers ran the 2012 presidential campaign of former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty. His work for Pawlenty resulted in a hiatus from Mr. Ayers’ role as a Partner with Target Enterprises, a media services and consulting company based in Los Angeles, California. Nick Ayers joined Target Enterprises in March 2011, but has been able to fully focus on his role as Partner, including overseeing the advertising strategy for major private sector businesses and political committees and campaigns, since the end of the Pawlenty campaign.Currently, Nick Ayers lives with his wife in Atlanta, Georgia. He serves on the Board of Directors of the international Christian ministry, Leading the Way, and on the Board of Advisors for two young technology companies, EverFi and TweetMyJobs. Additionally, Nick Ayers holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia.
