Skills

Skills

Office Administration

Clerical

In my involvement with student governments as secretary for two years, I developed my skill at taking minutes of meetings. Additionally, in my capacity as a receptionist and circulation department assistant, I wrote memos, answered phones, directed calls, and took messages.

Power Point

Research

As a college graduate, I conducted extensive research towards my history degree, notably a senior thesis on political implications of a nuclear North Korea.

Customer Service

I have always worked in customer service. My first job was as a cashier for a fastfood restaurant. In college, I worked as an office assistant and library circulation department assistant, in both of which I was responsible for greeting and directing guests and vendors. I worked for a year as a receptionist in a medical malpractice defense firm, with similar responsibilities.

Editing

During my undergraduate studies, I worked as editor in chief of Criterion, LSU's student magazine. In this capacity, I oversaw a team of student writers, designers and photographers. I have also done some copyediting for the Pasadena Weekly during a six-month internship.

Writing

I am a published writer, working professionally as a freelance writer for the Pasadena Weekly. I was a writer for Criterion, La Sierra University's student magazine.
