Nicholas Farid Wakim boasts 23 years of commercial experience as an entrepreneur. Having created successful companies across a variety of sectors, Nicholas F. Wakim is currently the CEO of Phoenix Water, having founded the company in 2009. Operating from Victoria, Australia, Phoenix Water seeks to rank as a global leader in the reclamation of previously untreatable wastewaters. With an array of proprietary technologies, the international company presently focuses on developing world-class applications for the desalination brine and industrial wastewater markets. In his capacity as CEO, Nicholas F. Wakim presides over all divisions of Phoenix Water. In addition to providing the company’s corporate strategy, he also secures various capital funding sources and creates and sustains relationships with both licensees and end users. Additionally, he retains direct supervision over the facilitation of all corporate commercialization activities, with an eye toward developing the company's place in the growing markets of industrial wastewater and desalination treatment. Nicholas F. Wakim possesses extensive investing experience and has successfully created businesses and helped introduce new technologies across a variety of sectors that include cleantech, corporate advisory, investment banking, and IT. He attended d'Overbroeck's College in Oxford, England and College of DuPage, in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, studying Business Marketing and Finance. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Wakim enjoys an array of personal interests, including travel, skiing, and golf. As a member of the Victoria Racing Club, the Melbourne Racing Club and the Moonee Valley Racing Club, Nicholas Wakim also maintains a longstanding interest in thoroughbred racing and breeding.
