Nicholas Beim is a Partner at Venrock, one of the leading venture capital firms in the United States. Since 1969, Venrock has invested in pioneering companies including Apple Computer, Intel, DoubleClick, Illumina, Millennium Pharmaceuticals and AppNexus. A member of the trade group National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), Nicholas Beim maintains additional affiliation with the local Business Associates Club in Boston.
When not working at Venrock, Nicholas Beim performs duties as a member of the Global Board at Endeavor, a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with a focus on business and entrepreneurship in developing nations. In this capacity, Nicholas Beim helps provide funding to innovative, high-impact companies and entrepreneurs with demonstrated success in their fields. In addition, Nicholas Beim has served as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), where he participated on the Team Member Advisory Committee and proved instrumental in the formation of a study group on economic and technology competitiveness. Owing to Nicholas Beim’s efforts with this study group, the Council on Foreign Relations published the academic volume, Technological Innovation and Economic Performance through Princeton University Press in 2002.
Nicholas Beim holds a B.A. from Stanford University and an M.Phil. from Oxford University, where he was a Marshall Scholar. Nicholas Beim lives and works in New York.
