Alternative Certification Program

The Dallas ISD Alternative Certification Program is one of the best teaching training programs in the State of Texas.  The program trains selected degreed candidates for eight weeks and then allows them to enter the classroom.  In order for a candidate to receive state certification they must have accomplished the following results:

  • Passed the required state exams
  • Performed well in the classroom
  • Fulfilled all state and program requirements
  • Received a favorable recommendation from their principal, mentor teacher and specialist
