Led the business intelligence and data-warehouse organization, driving aggressive strategies to leverage analytics in order to improve business performance.  Led a staff of 32 analysts, developers running a 6TB $2.5M Teradata/MicroStrategy platform.  These intelligence capabilities are key competitive asset and differentiator in the company's  industry-leading base-marketing expertise.


  • Led a strategy for a single Operational Data Store (ODS) with federated data-marts,  aggregating all cross-functional data sources from online-analytics, sales, service, finance and operations, and serving over 300 daily reports and real-time dashboards
  • Drove integration of numerous data silos across organizational functions and subsidiary companies
  • Led the effort to institute a churn-propensity model to predict negative events
  • Led the development of a dynamic merchandising solution to present targeted and personalized offers online that drove an incremental $1M a year
  • Deployed a custom solution that incorporated sales and customer intelligence to empower sales, marketing and delivery teams - and presented this as a case study for Operational Intelligence at the annual conference (DreamForce)

Product Roadmap - Develop and manage a unified roadmap across product lines that encapsulates product evolution, portfolio expansion (new products) and exploration of new markets

Mobile Strategy - Developed and executed the nsMobile strategy for small-business mobile enablement, launched 5 apps and services including -  goMobi (Mobile Web sites), DomainStorm (domainsearch), MPact (social media syndication)  and nsMobilePay (mobile POS solution)

Creative Monetization - Defined and drove creative strategies for revenue-enhancement such as in-product-upsells of disaggregated features, "Freemium" positioning and product-bundling based on conjoint analysis.

Innovation & Incubation - Co-founded and led as CEO, a NetSol-funded but independently-operated startup to develop and launch a social-marketing solution in 12 weeks, scheduled for Q4 launch.

Served as a Partner in a home-automation technology pioneer.  Scientia's flagship Plexus technology utilized embedded software and custom hardware to provide simplified control of audio-video, lighting and security via web-based and hand-held devices.  Developed and presented business-plan, marketing material, pitch decks for commercializing the Plexus technology to angel and institutional investors.  Actively pursued distribution channels and networked with trade-groups

Software Engineering Manager, ImageCafé
  • Managed a development team of 13 to build the next generation of ImageCafe web-site management products leading to $32M in annual revenue and over 160,000 customers
  • Drove the integration of the ImageCafe service platform with centralized services for billing and fulfillment, and developed processes and protocol for service and support 
  • Led the development of a new platform centered around an online WYSIWYG editor and a modular architecture for adding content elements such as photo albums, chat and site-stats

Software Engineering Manager

Towerstreet LLC (AMS Holding Group)
Led a technology assessment of legacy products at AMS that ultimately led to the creation of Towerstreet, a software-as-a-service company that provided real-time insurance quotes from multiple carriers to independent agencies.
  • Grew a development organization from 3 to over 60, while incorporating quality assurance, configuration management and implementation-support functions.
  • Developed a proprietary technology based on Microsoft’s Remote Scripting and DHTML that enabled asynchronous, data-driven dynamic interfaces on a browser-based client – a precursor to Ajax.  
  • Designed and implemented an XML-based integration framework for real-time rating with insurance carriers such as The Hartford, Travelers, and other major insurance carriers
  • Awarded an ACORD Early Adopter award in 2001 for developing the industry's first real-time rating system using the ACORD XML standard in collaboration with The Travelers insurance

Served on the product management team for CheckFree's WebBillPay - an online bill-payment service. 

Responsible for coordinating all aspects of private-label implementations with large partners which included branding, feature customizations, customer-communications etc to comply with both partner expectations and internal product strategy.  Directly managed the rollout of several high-profile implementations including Schwab BillPay and Chase E-Bills

 Lead Software Engineer, Treasury Products

Responsible for developing the core transaction matching services at the heart of the Recon+ for Windows, a client-server reconciliation system used by Fortune-500 companies.  Implemented a flexible rules engine using Visual C++, MFC that allowed extensive customization of the matching engine using a wizard-based process.  Developed highly optimized database access mechanisms based on ODBC and native libraries for SQL Server, Oracle and SyBase.  Re-implemented the matching engine entirely using Transact-SQL stored-procedures to further optimize SQL Server database performance
