Part of my immediate goals is to write my SAIPA Professional Evaluation examination in November 2016 and be registered as a SAIPA member. 

Within the next 10 years, I would like to be settled in a good and stable work environment where I can perform at my best and grow to the highest I can reach. I strive to be the best in everything that I approach and like to be challenged. I believe in lifelong learning and try not to stagnate in a particular position. 

I'm a very driven and hard-working person who set high goals for myself and I will always strive to succeed in my goals.  

One of my other passions in life is to travel the world while building work experience, as I believe that you have to grab every opportunity that comes your way. This was my motivation to apply for a winter work and travel program, as I saw this as a perfect opportunity to build experience on a international level and to grow into what I want to become.

I see myself as a very loyal employee and believe that if you are loyal to your employer they would always be loyal towards you.

Being part of the team you have to comprises of superior business skills, good human relations and communication as well as a personality that can offer a exclusive high-end business relationship with current and future clients. 

As the financial manager it is expected to have the farms financial interests at heart and to take full responsibility of finances. 

Tasks would include, but is not limited to: 

Daily tasks comprises of updating exchange rates and capturing of bank account transactions, updating the petty cash and capturing data for debtors and creditors. 

Weekly tasks comprised of bank accounts and petty cash reconciliations, casual wages and bi-weekly wages, cash flow update and reconciliations of debtors and creditors.

Monthly tasks involve debtors and creditors payments/processing/reconciliations and queries, monthly cash flow and budget updates as well as reporting on discrepancies, present financial meetings with directors to report on balance sheet/income statement/cash flow and debtors, reconciliation and submitting of employee taxes, value added tax and excise duty, diesel allocations, capturing of business credit card transactions, monthly salaries, preparing documentation of import payments and export receipts, reconciliation of all related party loan accounts / month-end journals exp. depreciation 

Yearly tasks involve 6 monthly employee tax returns (EMP501) reconciliation and submission, yearly compensation commissioner report, assists auditors with the yearly audit, processing yearly audit journals, 6 monthly provisional tax calculation and submission as well as yearly income tax submission. 

The above mentioned tasks is specific tasks that needs to be completed but ad-hoc tasks also form part of my daily route as the financial manager. 

The above tasks are performed on SAP Business One and all the necessarily Microsoft Office programs.

I'm currently a final year trainee. 

The tasks of a trainee is very vast and include several duties in different departments. 

Our trainee program require experience in all of the following  aspects: 

Financial Accounting; Internal Control; Taxation; Commercial law; Management accounting; Practice Management 

Tasks would include, but is not limited to:

Prepare financial statements from source documentation and trial balance

Processing of bank statements on Pastel
Capturing of supplier invoices on Pastel
Capturing of debtor invoices on Pastel
Preparing bank reconciliation

VAT reconciliation for VAT returns

Payroll reconciliation for EMP returns  

Audit financial information as provided by accountants on Caseware
Identify errors made by accountants
Prepare adjusting journals to rectify errors made by accountants 
Perform stock takes and evaluate stock procedures
Correspond with SARS to fulfil the client’s taxation needs

My training program was audit orientated rather than the capturing of everyday financial data. Although I do not have practical experience in some accounting aspects I have the knowledge of how these topics needs to be handled, exp. payroll/VAT, as I had the responsibility to audit these accounting entries. 

Problem solving is a important part of my day-to-day responsibilities as clients do not always understand the basic accounting standards.  

Further requirements also involved basic taxation responsibilities. 

We acquire good Microsoft Office (Excel), Pastel and Caseware skills as this is the software we work with.

Special Events. ·  Ensure all co-workers deliver flawless service and a high quality experience to all guests attending the events. ·  Ensure adherence to all cash handling policies and procedures if applicable. ·   Maintain open communication with other departments and throughout the property to ensure special requests are handled appropriately, ensuring guest satisfaction. ·  Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. · 

Experience: Six months supervisory experience in a customer service position preferred. Excellent communication skills, detail orientation, clerical and cashiering skills required.

I have always been complimented on my confidence, endurance and prompt response, no matter in what situation I'm in. Everyone has their own way of defining success, be it financially, socially, spiritually or in any other way. To me it is to be balanced in all different aspects in life.  I'm a very independent person and when it comes to taking care of myself I have no difficulties doing that. In a work environment I can make decisions that will always be to the best advantage of my employer. I am a pleasant employee that interacts with other employees and I’ll never let the opportunity to make new friends go pass me.
