The rabbi for the Glen Rock Jewish Center in Glen Rock, New Jersey, Neil Tow has a variety of responsibilities. His duties include officiating services, teaching, participating in Jewish communal work, and managing the synagogue. In June 2015, Rabbi Neil Tow will complete his term at this center and will begin serving a new community in July.
Rabbi Neil Tow graduated summa cum laude with his bachelor’s degree in international relations and Spanish from Tufts University. While there, he became a leader in the campus Hillel organization as well as earned the Joseph and Sara Stone Prize and the Laminan Prize in romance languages. He also was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Rabbi Neil Tow went on to receive his ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City, where he also completed a master of Hebrew literature. He spent a year of study at the Schechter Institute in Jerusalem and obtained the Homiletics Award for his senior sermon on Parshat Mishpatim. Additionally, he served High Holiday pulpits in South Carolina, New York, and Maryland and worked as a student rabbi at Congregation Sha’are Shalom in Leesburg, Virginia.
