Summary

Seasoned manager and businessman Neil Hafer has served in multiple capacities with Enterprise Rent-A-Car for nearly 20 years. A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Mr. Hafer accepted his first position with Enterprise in 1992, not long after earning his Bachelor of Science in Economics. With this academic background, he rapidly scaled the company ranks and handled a wide range of responsibilities.

Neil Hafer began his career with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Los Angeles and worked his way up through management in the East San Fernando Valley/San Gabriel region. He was then promoted to Regional Vice President of the East Tennessee group, overseeing everything from day-to-day operations to hiring, personnel decisions, profit and loss, and fleet management. During his tenure there, profits increased by 100%.

After 14 years with the company, Neil Hafer was promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the Puerto Rico division, where he was given the duty of establishing a new branch of Enterprise Rent-A-Car in various locations throughout the territory. Based out of San Juan, he executed an overall strategy to build up the company from virtually nothing, negotiating leases for new locations and boosting the fleet of rental cars and trucks. Neil Hafer also oversaw hiring and management decisions, constructing a team that would eventually help the Puerto Rico group rise to the fifth-highest within the business by 2009. During his three years there, Mr. Hafer expanded the rental fleet to more than 1,700 units and gave Enterprise Rent-A-Car a strong foothold in the country.

In 2009, Neil Hafer received a promotion to Vice President and General Manager of the Utah/Southern Idaho region and moved to Salt Lake City.

An active outdoorsman, Neil Hafer enjoys snow and water skiing, hiking, running, tennis, and biking. He also loves to spend time with his twin daughters and his wife of 15 years in their Salt Lake City home.
