Negar Mokhtarnia

Territory manager

Summary

I started my MBA career through the Skoll program, which offers an accelerated path to degrees in both Engineering and Business. Previously, I have worked as an engineer on the periphery of the energy industry designing Pressure Vessels and Heat Exchangers as well as hockey rink cooling systems. Currently, I work as a territory manager at Imperial Oil, overseeing the execution of Esso sites West of GTA.

In addition, I have had the pleasure of working with many great institutions in the higher-education and non-profit sector. Through these experiences, I have met extraordinary people and helped create innovative marketing and branding strategies.

I am always looking for opportunities to get involved in new ventures and help out a friend. Please feel free to send me a message.

Organizational Leadership

I have previously worked as an Leader in my role as the Symposium Director for the Astronomy and Space Exploration Society (ASX) at University of Toronto.  This event is known as the biggest single day event based on astronomy in Canada. As the leader of our establishment I have had the opportunity to inspire my team members and show them my personal commitment and dedication. In this role I was responsible for all aspects of this event including logistics, for which I have used my strong leadership and time-management skills to delegate tasks and define milestones. I also have developed strong communication and interpersonal skills by continuously contacting our numerous partners and sponsors to develop means of negotiation and mutual benefit. As the VP Finance of the University of Toronto Space Design Contest, I have had the opportunity to work  alongside a number of University of Toronto organizations and associations and establish a strong network of collaborators. I have also used my organizational and management skills to compose and maintain our budget over the years despite fluctuating economic conditions. I have also supervised the organization of our four-day conference and ensured the safety of over 120 students and team members according to university policies.
