Nayyera Haq

An experienced political administrator and current founding partner with Avicenna Strategy, Nayyera Haq spent the better part of six years as a senior member of the administration of President Barack Obama. After serving as a Communications Director with Obama For America in the general election, she accepted an offer to become a Spokesperson on Economic Policy with the Department of Treasury. Nayyera Haq later spent three years as a Senior Advisor on Public Affairs with the Department of State, where she increased the State Department’s international media presence and promoted positive images of the United States in countries such as India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

Nayyera Haq spent the early years of her career as a communications and media advisor with Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Congressman John Salazar. She completed a master’s degree in legal studies at the Georgetown University Law Center, where she learned to dissect sophisticated policy issues and present them in an approachable manner.
