Lead Blaster

Wolfe Drilling Inc.

Lead blaster on mine and quarry sites.  Driller deck hand assistant.   As lead blaster I successfully completed several technical blasting projects.  We blasted in close proximity to other houses while excavating for future development and basements. I worked closely with contractors and UDOT employees to clear outcroppings and rock faces on freeway expansion projects.

Co-Owner with Jeff Wolfe, Owner of Wolfe Drilling Inc.  Supervised 4-5 employees in the mining industry. Lead blaster at mines and quarries.  Responsible over ATFE (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) compliance of maintaining proper paper work and chain-of-custody of explosives.  Lead driver in transporting Haz-Mat explosives between manufacturer, storage facilities and mine sites. Driver and truck manager over three sets of tractor, double side-dump trailers. Lead driver of heavy haul division.  Responsible of maintaining MSHA regulations and standards of employees at mine sites.  Assist with project bidding and customer relations. Certified operator of excavator, loader, drill, skid steer, bulk ANFO (Ammonium Nitrate Fuel Oil) truck.

Demil-Tech II TOCDF (Tooele Chemical Demilitarization Facility)

Performed ACAMS (Automatic Continuous Air Monitoring System)  daily challenges, calibrations, and preventative maintenance.   ACAMS were used to analyze and detect GB, GA, HD, and VX chemical agents.  Performed Mini-cams (Miniature Air Monitoring System) daily challenges, calibrations, and preventative maintenance. Mini-cams were used to analyze and detect Lewisite. Collected DAAMS (Depot Area Air Monitoring System) samples on a daily basis and delivered samples to the lab. Conducted toxic area entries on a  routine basis with the purpose of testing sample lines and assisting with closure operations.  Shift representative for Safety Action Team.   Completed CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System) training.

Supervised 4-5 employees and managed several sub-contractors  in the areas of drilling, blasting, crushing, trucking, mining, excavating.  Maintained constant communication with employees, subcontractors, and customers. 

Commercial Driver

As owner and manager of a trucking company I have developed skills in both maintenance and operation of commercial vehicles.  I have transported numerous oversize/overweight loads with no accidents or injuries. I driven double side dump trailers sine July of 2013 on a regular basis.  I have safely transported and delivered explosives throughout the state of Utah with my Haz-Mat Endorsement.

I completed numerous projects while attending this class.  the projects helped me gain a better understading of the philosophy behind these teachings and business practices in general.

Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification

I completed one project while enrolled in this course.  My project was on the Ford/Firestone issues.  This project broke down the issues involved in both companies that resulted in an inferior product.

MINICAMS and ACAMS operator

I operated MINICAMS during closure at the CAMDS facility.  I am proficient in MINICAMS, ACAMS, and DAAMS air monitoring systems.  I have perfomed all tasks involved with the systems on a daily basis.
