About Natasha Lakaev

As contractor for the Australian Department of Health’s ATAPS program Clinical Psychologist Natasha Lakaev provides individual Focused Psychological Strategies to members of various priority groups including women with perinatal depression, children, people with severe mental illness, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, among others.

Natasha Lakaev holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and works primarily on the Gold Coast, Queensland, as well as at several locations in Northern New South Wales. Natasha Lakaev also provides a very wide range of Psychology services for children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, families, and groups.

From 1991, Natasha Lakeav worked as a Counselor in private practice and in a Healing and Rejuvenation Centre that she established. During the next 15 years, she counseled patients throughout Australia, Africa, and South America. She dealt with a broad range of cases, including trauma, dysfunctional family systems, anorexia, bulimia, substance addiction and abuse, chemical imbalances, dietary and other health issues, and other disorders. Lakaev also counseled people as they faced some of life’s greatest challenges, including terminal and chronic illnesses.

Outside the office, Ms. Lakaev engages in a range of recreational activities, including yoga, jogging, and skiing. She enjoys travelling and learning new languages, and is conversant in Spanish and Serbo-Croatian.
