Guides approximately 40 school districts across the country through the implementation process using the principles of Implementation Science. Serves as the point of contact for the district and designs curriculum used to train leadership and staff in the use of the platform.

Caddo Middle Magnet Teacher of the Year (2017) 

Caddo Parish Middle School Teacher of the Year Finalist (2017)

Caddo Parish Technology Leaders Council (2016) - Comprised of teachers and administrators from around the Parish who are the technology leaders at their schools. The group meets monthly to discuss new ideas, troubleshoot problems, and develop professional development presentations based on district needs.

Illuminate Campus Coordinator/District Support Staff (2015 - present) - Serve as the school's Illuminate support person and as a go-to person for other schools in the district. Trained 25 teachers (1,225 students testing) at Caddo Middle Magnet on the use of Illuminate for Parish Interim Assessments. Troubleshoot any problems that may arise, both at CMM and district-wide. 

AdvancED Accreditation School Designee (2015 - present) - Serve as the key point of contact between AdvancED and the school. Work with the External Review Lead Evaluator to prepare for and host the External Review. Support school stakeholders throughout the process, answer questions, and provide guidance. Ensure that all requirements of the accreditation process are met. Manage the logistics and oversee the schedule of the External Review.

Caddo Parish Academic Strategic Planning Committee Member (2015) - Work with the Academic Committee to develop a new Strategic Plan for the district. Formulate goals and measurable objectives for the district. Create action steps for teachers to assist them in meeting the goals and objectives as stated in the Strategic Plan.

Website Evaluator (2015) - American Society for Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) - quoted in ASCP press release regarding new website that encourages students to seek careers in clinical laboratories.

Caddo Middle Magnet Spirit Squad Chairperson (2011 – present) - Organize and coordinate all spirit squads at CMM including, 7th grade cheer, 8th grade cheer, Danceline, Flag Runners, Mascot, and Twirlers. Serve as intermediary between squads, parents, and school administration.

Caddo Middle Magnet Pep Squad Sponsor (2011 - present) - Schedule games and practices for 100 pep squad members. Hire coaches and manage supervision at all practices and games. Organize uniform purchases and distribution.


Vernon Parish School District Administration (2016) - "How to Illuminate Your Assessments" Effective assessment and data analysis has the power to transform academic achievement. Even so, the process can be daunting. This presentation showed how to utilize best practices in assessment creation, delivery, and data analytics at all levels to directly drive instruction, impact instructional practices, and target student success. This presentation was requested by the curriculum specialist for Vernon Parish after attending the LSSA conference.

Caddo Parish Teacher Technology Center (2016) - "Make Your Data Even Brighter With Illuminate"         Presentation Description - Have you been using Illuminate for interim assessments but would like to know more? If so, this class was designed with you in mind! Learn how to use Illuminate for all your formative and summative assessment needs. This session will cover topics including how to create more complex assessments, the use of filters to locate specific item bank questions, and how to link standards to teacher-created assessments. Caddo Parish Teacher Technology Center (2016) - "Illuminate Your Data and Assessments"               Presentation Description - Are you looking for ways to easily and effectively use data to drive your instruction? If so, then this class is for you! Illuminate is assessment and data analysis made easy. Create your own assessments, using either teacher-created questions or a living item bank, and get fast and flexible reports to guide instruction, all in one place. This session is an introduction to the basics of Illuminate, including how to login, create quick assessments that can be administered online or on paper, and generate reports to easily analyze data. Caddo Parish - Fall Into Fabulous Instruction (2015) - Antibiotic Resistance Simulation Activity - Hands-on activity designed to show students the importance of taking antibiotics only when prescribed. Also highlights the significance of finishing the entire prescription and emphasizes how not taking all of the pills can lead to more virulent infections.

Caddo Middle Magnet School (2015) - Google Classroom - How to create classes, enroll students, and create and assign activities that will engage all learners.

Caddo Middle Magnet School (2015 - 2016) - Illuminate (see attached portfolio items) - How to use Illuminate to administer Parish interim assessments. Created easy-to-follow instructions for the faculty and coordinated scheduling of computer labs for testing.

Caddo Parish - Spring District-Wide Professional Development (2015) - Interactive Student Notebooks - How to use ISNs to engage and stimulate all learners. Discuss the correlation between organization and student success.
