This is a chapter from the ASCOT user guide. The user guide explains the core features and the most important procedures of the system for logistics industry. The application regulates the arrangement of the containers on a yard, as well as their movement over the company premises and outwards. The user guide was developed for a specific audience that needed to get started and quickly learn about the main procedures to perform within their job.
A training simulation is a hands-on project. It is used to allow the student try her or his knowledge in an error-friendly environment. This sample was created in Captivate 7 with click boxes in the training chapter to allow the user use his or her own mouse to complete the task. In the end, users have the possibility to check their knowledge answering the quiz quiestions.
A software demonstration explains visually how an application or a system works. This is a software demo built in Captivate 7. Other tools (Photoshop, screen capturing capturing tool) were used to complete the work. It has a playbar and transitions. It is published as an .swf (Flash) file on a shared location. A rollover image is an interactive eLearning item that allows users to get informed on the key elements of a window, screen area, picture, etc. This is the screenshot of Navision Dynamics application. To explain its interface, rollover areas were inserted, which contain highlight boxes (they remain visible on the slide) and captions that appear when moving the mouse over the related highlight box. It was created in Captivate 7 and published as a Flash element. Click on the print screen above to view the active rollover.
This user Guide was developed as a freelance project. The challenge was to create a professionally looking user guide which explains all the features of a given WordPress theme as clearly as possible. It was designed so that even inexperienced users or WordPress “newcomers” could feel themselves comfortable with the theme. Along with theme functionalities, the user guide shows the product’s benefits for potential customers.
Release Notes are communication documents that describe some changes made to the features of service or product. It may be bug fixing or a new functionality. The challenge of any release notes creation is to report briefly the novelties that have appeared. This sample contains the release notes for TEREX application.
