Dedicated to public service, Nadia Lockyer has fulfilled civic, legal, and business duties in Southern California for more than 15 years. She has served as executive director of the Alameda County Family Justice Center and on the California Community Colleges Board of Governors. Throughout her career, Nadia Lockyer has garnered a number of recognitions, including the California State Democratic Party John F. Kennedy Public Service Award. She currently operates her private legal practice and fund development consultancy in Long Beach.
In conjunction with the principal of Wallace R. Davis Elementary School in Santa Ana, Nadia Lockyer recently established a partnership with her family to create a new family center. Having launched the beginning stages of the project, she will donate startup costs for the after-school program in the coming year.
Away from her professional and community endeavors, Nadia Lockyer spends her personal time with her husband and son and is very active in her son's education and music classes. She has enjoyed music throughout her life. Her favorite band is U2, both for their songs and their dedication to humanitarian initiatives. In addition to making and listening to music, she enjoys native american craft making and traveling internationally. Her journeys have taken her to China, England, Canada, Central America, and France.
