Brief Biography

Olivia Heyl is a senior dietetics major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). She will be graduating Magna Cum Laude in December of 2010. She is a current employee of UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, where she holds a position with the dietary department as a hostess. Olivia is a dedicated student and an active member of IUP's Student Dietetic Association.

Work Philosophy

Possessing a strong work ethic is key to a successful career. Supervisors, patients, and co-workers will trust more in a reliable individual.A dietetics professional must also provide accurate and current nutrition information to all they come in contact with. In addition, it is important to treat all patients and clients with care and compassion. Finally, working as part of a healthcare team will provide the best patient and client outcomes.
