Patti Galle, a local activist in the city of West Linn, Oregon, holds an impressive record of involvement in her community. Patti Galle has worked to support local law enforcement and animal rights, and she won election as the Mayor of West Linn in 2009. Patti Galle continues to work on the behalf of citizens of her city.A dedicated supporter of animal rights, Patti Galle supports many animal welfare organizations. She helped organize POOCH in the Park, a fundraiser for the nonprofit organization Project POOCH, Inc. In 2009, Patti Galle authored For the Love of Dogs, a book of recipes that dog owners can prepare for their canine companions. She donates 10 percent of sales from her book towards local dog charities. Patti Galle also sponsors the Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc., Woofstock, the Willamette Falls Heritage Foundation, and West Linn’s Keep Our Cops. Her efforts on behalf of local law enforcement aimed to achieve a police levy that would fund improvements to police headquarters. Patti Galle also worked on the West Linn Police Advisory Committee for two years.Named Citizen of the Year by the local newspaper West Linn Tidings in 2007, Patti Galle achieved a high level of voter support as the city’s Mayor. Her campaign, which focused on her belief in listening to residents’ opinions, also focused on development and growth in the area. As a dedicated local activist, Patti Galle has helped make the community of West Linn a better place for her fellow citizens.
