·Worked on team to develop complete Web-based training system for US Navy Reserve. Duties included project record keeping & planning, software system design, firewall design & implementation, network design, system administration, database design & administration, and analysis and mediation of technical issues related to the CBT project. Technologies involved included ASP.NET 1.x & 2.0, IIS 6, Apache 2.x, SQL Server 2000 & 2005, MySQL, and Subversion.
·Developed compression process for multimedia components for CBT project that resulted in 800-1000% reduction in file size of critical multimedia components. Resulted in copyrighted compression process for Mantech e-IC.
·Redesigned the Mantech e-IC Hinton network for increased security and performance, including installation of Linux firewalls, Nessus vulnerability scanning system, AutoDesk Backburner animation render farm, numerous Cisco switches, Norton Antivirus updates server, and Windows Server Updates Server. Network redesign focused on VLANs and subnetting, creation of a DMZ hosting websites on IIS and Apache, and site-wide network monitoring and alerting capabilities.
·Recommended and facilitated delivery and setup of network and system hardware for CBT project network upgrade/redesign and hosting of CBT project websites. Continued system administration, maintenance, troubleshooting duties of CBT network. Software packages administered included IIS 5.x & 6, Apache 2.x, SQL Server 2000 & 2005, and MySQL among others.
Designed CBT network security plan and delivered numerous documents to the US Navy Reserve with respect to network security, Web-based system design, and technical interoperability.
