Currently the President of CPA Trading, Inc., a food and beverage consulting company based in his adopted hometown of Winnipeg, Canada, Costas Ataliotis played an integral role in several successful international business ventures. As former President and CEO of Maple Leaf Distillers, Inc., Costas Ataliotis oversaw the expansion of the award-winning spirits producer, one of the fastest-growing companies in Manitoba. In addition to developing other Winnipeg businesses, including several prominent car dealerships, Costas Ataliotis served as an executive for international corporations in the hospitality, tourism, entertainment, and development industries. In acknowledgement of his contributions, the Premier’s Economic Advisory Council, an advisory body created after the groundbreaking Manitoba Century Summit, selected Costas Ataliotis as 1 of 34 economic leaders to serve on the council. A native of Cyprus who relocated to Winnipeg in 1974, Costas Ataliotis held the title of Honorary Consul for Cyprus in Canada for two years; a subsequent appointment to Honorary Consul General for Western Canada lasted nine years. Costas Ataliotis received substantial recognition for his charitable work and community involvement. An active supporter of cancer research and the Federal Liberal Party of Canada, Costas Ataliotis served as chairman of Image of Manitoba, a position appointed by the Provincial Government; additionally, he co-chaired the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Pan American Games in Winnipeg. During his free time, Costas Ataliotis enjoys swimming, playing squash, and pursuing his interest in cars. An avid reader, Costas Ataliotis counts Frederick Forsyth, John Grisham, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle among his favorite authors.
