Introduction

WELCOME TO MY PORTFOLIO

I am an Adult Nurse Practitioner and Certified Wound Specialist with 38 years experience in Healthcare.  My background has been rich in diverse experiences to include ER/trauma, trauma flight nursing, orthopedics,  primary care, and wound management. My current interest is in the area of limb preservation in the diabetic population.  In particular, I have an interest in diabetic foot care education via the web, virtual world and simulation for the prevention of foot complications such as ulcers and amputation. I am also a staff development educator and am involved in training and education of staff and providers in wound management and treatment.

I work collaboratively with referring providers, our Limb Preservation and Hyperbaric Centers, diabetic  educators and vascular, infectious disease and plastics surgery specialists to provide holistic care to my patients with chronic wounds.
