Working within visual effects on recent and upcoming films such as Snow white and the Huntsman and Total Recall. Creating set extensions, characters, buildings, objects and also matte painting. This involves modelling, UVing, texturing, lighting and rendering whole scenes using the latest software: Maya, zBrush, Mudbox, 3d Studio Max & Photoshop. A varied role working under tight deadlines in close co-operation with all other members of the vfx team.

Responsible for the development, documentation and implementation of character pipeline process ensuring continuity and efficiency within the team. Hands-on in the production of game characters, using the latest software (3D Studio Max 2010, ZBrush 4, Photoshop CS4), to create highly accurate in-game likeness of F1 drivers and secondary characters. Regular review and critique of team’s work to ensure consistency, quality and likeness throughout all stages of character creation. Liaise with programmers, animators, game designers and management teams in house and across Codemasters’ sites.

Managing a team of character artists, based across the Birmingham and Manchester studios, and responsible for overseeing all outsourced characters. In addition to the daily management of the character team my duties include the design and building of main characters, most recently Fifty Cent (‘Blood in the Sand’). Highly skilled in all aspects of character modelling including the creation of characters in 3D Studio Max 9, sculpting in ZBrush 3, detailed skinning of body and face, texturing in Photoshop CS3 and exporting into the Unreal engine. Responsible for making sure the overall quality is to the highest standards whilst keeping the team motivated and working to deadlines.
