Summary

Kim (Jinhui) Yao has completed his PhD studies at the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, the University of Sydney, at where he also received his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering majored in Telecommunication. His PhD studies focus on enhancing the trustworthiness within service oriented systems. The research works of his PhD studies were developed as a joint research between the University of Sydney and CSIRO ICT Centre under the umbrella project “trusted computing platforms”. He has participated and contributed to the R&D of a series of projects in CSIRO ICT Centre in the areas including Cloud computing, service-oriented architecture, accountabiilty, and trusted storage provisioning, etc. These research projects lead to the emergence of a multitude of excellent new ideas and research outcomes that exhibit not only scientific values but also business potentials. In fact, several research outcomes are effectively in the process of commercialization.Specialties- Cloud computing, Service Oriented Architectures and Service Computing- Compliance assurance, accountability- Trusted data storage and sharing- Middleware Technologies, including Web Service, J2EE, etc.- Strong programming skills (Java, C, C++, C#, Perl, Matlab, etc.)
