Audiovisual Junior Technician

Vangent Canada

Assist with the implementation of audiovisual equipment in permanent and temporary museum exhibitions. Specify and recommend equipment for future installations and recommend state of the art replacement technologies. Maintain and repair defective audiovisual equipment. Create technical manuals and electronic installation drawings for the installation of AV equipment and traveling AV systems. Maintain and update an accurate electronic equipment inventory. Assist the Lead technician with daily tasks, installations and troubleshooting. Report any defective equipment to the end user while performing daily quality control of AV functionality. Work with diverse systems "Crestron", connector's types (DB9, ¼;", 1/8", RCA), and button switches along with custom cabling runs.

Gave basic health care treatments. Helped the individual with his daily tasks. Assisted the nurse when giving respiratory treatments. Prepared the medical equipment for the nurse. Fed the patient with an internal tubing system. Verified and maintained the cleanliness of the patient's living area. Verify if the patient has any bruises or skin problems. Installed the patient in a motorized chair with a track lift system. Accompanied family members outside the home with the patient while providing constant watch and care.

Canadian Museum Of Civilization

Provided orientation for the clients visiting the museum. Invited tour buses in the museum while providing general information. Verified if clients have their tickets and answered queries at exhibit entry points.

Media Liaison Officer

North American Leaders Summit

Escorted the media during the media transportation from the airport and from 111 Sussex to Montebello. Ensured that all media representatives were accredited to the Summit. Kept all media representatives well informed about all aspects of the Summit relating to media and about services offered to the media by the media operations team. Kept the Media Coordinator apprised of any delays in schedule or any special requirements during their transportation.

Stage Technician


Prepared shows for the "Grand Rire Bleu" festival. Mounted and tore down show installations (lighting, sets, audio). Stagehand during live shows.





Broadcast operator

Operated a camera for studio and mobile productions Installed and mounted cameras and connect them to the mobile truck Operated IMX and BETACAM VTR's Installed microphones on host Wire management Operated a sound board All these operations and installations were done for a live television show. Work has been done as a volunteer for Rogers Television.

Troubleshoot problems

Build instruction manuals

Create documentation explaining how to install and operate audio-visual equipment for travelling exhibits. These documents are mostly done with Microsoft Word with lots of visuals and text.

Mounting equipment racks

Build equipment racks from the ground up. I usually use Middle Atlantic racks and accessories.  Once the rack is in place I mount the equipment to its designated position. Feed the cables from different locations and connect them to their proper place. All cables are identified and professionally installed.


Sauder different types of connectors: DB9, TRS jacks, wire extensions, buttons switches and custom modifications.
