Sports copy editor

The Palm Beach Post

Edited sports articles for daily print edition and Web site of the Post, which serves Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast area of Florida. After one year, became night desk supervisor two to three shifts per week. In July 2012, was promoted to “Bridge Team” as one of a handful of editors in newsroom who worked closely with Cox Media Group’s new consolidated desk. I worked with Post sports editor and assistant sports editor to plan sections and provide first reads on articles, and I also oversaw production of section at night, ordering changes as needed and giving the desk approval to send pages.

Specialized in editing sports content. Was lead editor on majority of Inside MLB and Inside the NFL team history books for ABDO Publishing Company. Educational books were intended for middle-grade audience. In addition, authored Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars NFL titles and Sacramento Kings Inside the NBA book.
