Directed ITIL service management processes (Change, Capacity, Asset, Configuration, and Service Level) in IT operations.  Deployed network and computing infrastructure into BT Data Centers. Managed $17M budget and 150 staff.  Established centralized capacity management function.

Head of Business Operations


Managed Opex: $650M, Capex: $150M, key projects, resources and service levels for IT Operation (36 Data Centers, 40,000+ servers, extensive global network, 100K+ PCs).

Dramatically Reduced Costs. Decreasing margins for core BT products prompted urgent need to reduce operating costs. Designed multi-project, multi-year program to analyze and reduce spend. Delivered $20M in savings in the first year and an additional $22M the second while improving service and driving growth.

Vendor Management and Negotiations. Negotiated significant cost reductions with vendors for hardware and software maintenance and mid-range support. Managed contracts for large outsourcing engagements. Vendor spend exceeded $200M for outsourced services, software and hardware support.

Concert (JV of AT&T and BT)

Managed $90M budget, 600 employees and all IT Functions.

Delivered “Unwind” of Joint Venture. Developed and implemented plan for 10-month large and complex project, including negotiating a $50M+ outsourcing deal. All components of the project were delivered on time and under budget with no disruption of service to end customers.

Managed IT development and operations programs to support global business including release planning and prioritization, data center expansions, and vendor management. Responsible for $100M Opex and $35M Capex and resource management.

Managed global carrier voice and data network deployed in over 70 countries with three operation centers, in Asia, US, and Europe.

Responsible for all IT functions for Global initiatives including negotiating the establishment of the joint venture with BT (Concert).Established software and development center in Colorado Springs.Initially relocated 1000+ staff to Colorado, the center employed over 3000 individuals when completed. Managed development and support of all revenue systems: Traffic, Billing and Accounts Receivable. Staff of 500+, budget over $50M annually.
