ECA is a private non-profit English language private school with a program designed primarily to serve the needs of children ages 3-18, from international corporations and diplomatic agencies temporarily residing in Caracas. The school was established in 1937 to provide a North American International education in Venezuela. Throughout its history, the school has provided innovative education, which focuses on individual students needs. ECA currently hosts students from over 40 nations. 

I work at the Superintent's office acting as a liaison/translator between the Superintendent and the school community., including the Board of Directors. One of my main responsibilities is to translate in-going and outgoing emails and correspondence. I'm accountable for maintaining records of  overseas teachers in the school's database, prepare reports and different sets of documents for the Board meetings, update the Superintendent's agenda and register him for the recruitment fairs and conferences throughout the school year. Organize   social events (invitations, catering, etc.) I also coordinate the teachers' attendance to conferences, including air tickets and hotel reservations. Another responsibility that has recently been added to my job spec is to participate in the recruiting process of  administrative personnel for the company. I'm in charge of posting the  position on the websites, making initial contact and interviews with potential candidates, and follow up on the process until the best candidate has been hired.  After work hours, I teach English  to the maintenance staff at the school and participate in school-sponsored events.

Prior to this position, I was an administrative assistant at the elementary office.

I report directly to the Superintendent and to the Director of Support Services.

Consulting firm in executive search and leadership services. Until 2007, the local firm represented Heidrick & Struggles (another major Executive Search Firm) In Venezuela. I assisted the local CEO and the CFO (based in Miami). I  was responsible for the overall management of the office services (vendors, services, systems, messengers, maintenance, equipment, etc.) and provided Back Office support on search processes. I was accounted for registration, control, follow up and closing of project codes in the Firm’s worldwide database. I was also responsible for translating into English or Spanish the documentation needed. I Coordinated the  database training schedules of the region (Colombia, Peru & Venezuela)  during the transition from Heidrick & Struggles to CTPartners. The position reported directly to the Managing Partner.

Mendoza, Delgado, Labrador & Asociados (formerly Báez, Dasilva & Asociados) is a member firm of Ernst & Young Global.  I assisted  the Tax Managing Partner and the Audit Managing Partner, and was accounted for client follow up, preparation of presentations and services proposals, elaboration of reports for the Firm in the U.S and translation of papers. I also provided assistance to clients and managers of different divisions. This position reported both to the Partners and the Director of Administration.

AVENSA

Avensa was a major Venezuelan airline. I provided assistance to the President of the company and was responsible for follow up of contacts and related parties,  coordinate the President's agenda and provide assistance to clients. The position reported directly to the President of AVENSA. Unfortunately, the company closed due to  financial crash.

Public Relations Manager

CA Editora de El Carabobeño.

El Carabobeño is the most important newspaper in Venezuela's central region. I joined the company as Special Events Coordinator, reporting directly to the Public Relationships Manager in order to  organize, coordinate and follow up on the social events planned by the company in regards to the  celebration of the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the newspaper. In about 15 months, I was promoted to Public Relations Manager, being accounted for the organization, coordination and planning of events, provide assistance to important visitors, act as liaison between government organizations and the company, represent the company and its executives in different social and cultural activities, among others. This position reported  directly to the General Manager and the President of the Company.
