EOH @ Vodacom

Senior Systems/Business Analyst

Summary of Role:

Analysis and architecture of the business and technical solutions related to customer journeys with the focus on Converged and FTTx product sales channels. Work with configurators to design data interfaces and develop final application design and develop test plans and cases to evaluate system functionality, unit testing and assist in User Acceptance testing

Highlights to Date:

  1. Port in functionality for Smart Business Bundles

Give the user the ability to request a mobile number port-in within the customer sales journey of converged products in an integrated manner. This removes the complexity and fallouts in the previous, manually operated process by automating the port in request from the donor network, enabling service activation based on the resultant response. There were also built-in security features such as OTP to verify ownership of the number in question.

  2. Multisite Quoting

While the process to create a quote that could be auto-ordered once ratified and signed existed as a base functionality within the application, it was limited to one quote per debtor account. This caused the account manager to create multiple quotes for each debtor account that a multinational had on the books making the quote process prolonged and tedious, sometimes taking as long as 6 weeks. The solution we put together allowed the accounts manages to pick as many debtor accounts related to a customer and add as many products as possible to create one quote at multiple account levels within a short space of time.

 3. Prepaid to Postpaid Migration

Enabling the existing prepaid customer to seamlessly move from prepaid to postpaid without breaking the customer journey

 4. Recurring Credit Card Top-up and VAS

Allow customers to purchase Fibre solution, base solutions and top-up packages using credit card as a method of payment as well giving them the option to have a recurring debit order like option on a credit card. A highly intricate solution with touchpoints to Payment Gateway, Mastercard and Visa, internal billing systems and BakServe.
