Work History

As I continue on my journey as Nutrition major I have discovered it takes hard work, dedication, and determination. With nutrition, the classes are challenging and test your strength to keep to going. I have learned to dig deep to personally surpass my goals. Also, getting hands on experience is what has helped me fully understand and apply the knowledge I have gained from classes. By working harder than ever, I have realized more about who I am from day to day. I look forward to knowing my hard work, optimistic outlook, and perseverance paid off when I graduate with a degree in Food and Nutrition!

Focused on my goals that are close in reach, I am able to work hard knowing I will see results soon. I currently am in my junior year of college and upper level Nutrition classes. For this Fall 2010 semester I am working to achieve all A's and B's in my classes. Also, I am setting a goal to find hand on experience while I am home for the Christmas holidays dealing with Nutrition, such as shadowing a dietitian or seeing the sales side. By having a few short-term goals, it helps me stay positive about reaching the goals that are further down the road.

Long-Term Goals

The future has a way of appearing before we know it, and I am excited to see the results of where I want to be down the road become reality. My ultimate goal is after graduation I would like to go on to get a dietetic Internship to then become a Registered Dietitian. Getting an internship is the reason I know I need to keep working hard so I can compete with the other students throughout the U.S.

I am currently enrolled at the University of Alabama here in Tuscaloosa, and focused on achieving my degree in Food and Nutrtition. Being a student here and majoring in Nutrition,I have found it to be opening doors of opportunites for after college and leading me to my purpose of where I want to be in the coming years.
