Project Manager, English and ICT
Main challenges of the role:
- To sustain a network of schools, teachers, entrepreneurs and UISCs through digital engagement and to align our work with the Digital Bangladesh agenda
-To build new partnerships and take forward agendas for ICT and English skill training
- To help the English team position themselves for donor-funded projects (in particular ICT and English skill training for marginalised groups)

External: One key partner is currently the Prime Minister’s Office through the Access to Information project, part of Bangladesh Government’s Digital initiative. Other partners include Ministry of Education, Bangladesh Technical Education Board, BELTA, BRAC and associated partners; Champs 21; Nokia, Grameenphone or other national mobile providers. Potential partners include BBC Media Action, English in Action (OU project) and Bangladesh media departments.
Internal: English Team Bangladesh (including Training and Development Consultant and ELT Adviser), other members of the Education/Arts & Society programmes teams in Bangladesh,regional ELT manager and ELT colleagues in the South Asia region, BC UK Connect and Engage teams, including Head of PD and EL materials teams.
