I am currently doing my research in “cloud radio access network” which is a novel of new architecture for mobile networks based on cloud computing that can support 2G, 3G, 4G, as well as future wireless communication.
The main idea behind C-RAN is to split the base stations into radio and baseband parts, and pool the Baseband Units (BBUs) from multiple base stations into a centralized and virtualized BBU Pool, this gives a number of benefits in terms of energy savings, cost and capacity.
The aim of this research is to develop models for downlink access point selection based on Markov Decision Process and related shadow prices when LTE-A technology is applied to it.
The research focused on satellite communication systems as I gained experience in this field.

Dealing with Vodafone tools (Remedy, CCSM touch point) to know information related to user location and serving sites for him.
Conducting Field Surveys for checking Coverage Status and install repeater if needed.
