Morrie Tobin

I am an LA-based entrepreneur with broad experience in the financial services industry and equity markets. I have a long track record of discovering and mentoring emerging small cap companies in Canada and the United States.

With CIBC World Markets in Toronto, I helped engineer the expansion of mortgage-backed securities from retail to institutional products. In the last 15 years, my partners and I invested more than $200M in new companies to grow and prepare them to go public.

Today, I use my talent and experience to be of service to my neighbors. With the City of Bell, I designed a program called Re-Build Bell One Block at a Time. Our mission is to collaborate with at-risk youth on major civic renewal projects. These community-based neighborhood revitalization efforts have already drawn enthusiastic young people, police personnel, and local volunteers. In addition, I work with the LA Mission and serve as a technical advisor for the Roberts Enterprise Development Fund.
