About Morrie Tobin

As a financial and investment professional, Morrie Tobin of Los Angeles has demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of the fixed-income and equity markets. He draws on over 20 years of experience as a business development advisor to small-cap companies and as an investor in both public and private early-stage enterprises, in which role he has cultivated relationships with businesses across multiple industries. To date, Morrie Tobin has provided more than $200 million in financing to small-cap companies in the United States and Canada.

Over the course of his career, Morrie Tobin has held key positions with such major financial industry players as CIBC World Markets, Scotia Capital, and National Bank Financial. While in service to CIBC World Markets as vice president of mortgage-backed securities (MBS) for Wood Gundy in Toronto, he led a desk with more than 70 percent market share and transitioned the company's MBS product from a retail to an institutional offering. Mr. Tobin has additionally found success as vice president of institutional equity sales for National Bank Financial, also of Toronto.

Currently residing in Los Angeles, Morrie Tobin takes advantage of his surroundings to engage in such activities as swimming and visiting local beaches. He especially enjoys these activities when accompanied by his family.
