I was responsible for hiring and training a sales team to sell medicare advantage and prescription drug programs to medicare eligible clients.I was responsible for the western half of Virginia and had a sales team of 10 agents.I set up and attended all event marketing and seminars as well as communicating lead assignments and sales objectives/results on a daily basis.Oversight and compliance of all sales activities in my territory were overseen by me.

I was hired as an agent and upon completion of sales school I began educating and enrolling medicare beneficiaries in the new medicare advantage and prescription drug programs.I worked in 2  walmart locations and covered lead appointments in homes.In January 2006 I was promoted as sales manager of the Northern Va. territory.I hired 8 agents and was responsible for lead assignments,training,seminar events,meeting sales and production goals as well as compliance oversight.In 2006 our team was number one in the company nationwide.

I served in the Army ROTC while at Radford.As an SMP cadet I attended Basic and AIT at Fort Benning in the summer of 1983.Upon graduation I served in the VAARNG as well as participating in ROTC at college.In December 1985 I Recieved my commission as an Army Infantry Officer  from President Reagan.In June 1986 I attended and graduated from the Infantry Officer Basic Course at Fort Benning and served in the Virginia Army National Guard and Reserves until honorably discharged in 1999.

As an Army Infantry Officer I lead a rifle platoon and a mortar platoon.Gained leadership experience in military schools and in the field.As a manager for Humana I hired and developed one of the top sales teams in the country.
