Inside Sales

Started with Marriott Corporation out of college as a bartender and waitress.  Worked my way through the ranks to obtain a position was an assistant sales manager at the same marriott location.  Throughout the next five years, I moved myself up the sales ladder at Marriott, serving as and Executive Meeting Manager at a property in Connecticut and then a Sales Manager at a Philadelphia property.  My responsibilities included maintaining existing accounts, all at the corporate level, as well as generating new business for the hotels.  My duties included all aspects of the meetings, from check in, to banquet and meeting facilities as well as overnight accommodations.  It was my responsibility to pull through all aspects of my programs from meeting room design to menus.

Sales

  I have spent the past 11 years with Merck & Co., Inc., ascending through positions of steadily increasing accountability to my last role as a Vaccine Specialist. I was most recently charged with calling on pediatric offices in Rhode Island to help them facilitate orders for Merck pediatric vaccines, as well as remaining a resource to them for all vaccine related issues. I worked closely with other members of the Merck sales force on pediatric, OB/GYN and Primary Care sides of the business to ensure successful implementation and pull-through of Merck Vaccines. Prior to vaccine sales, I was a Senior Professional Representative with a focus on Primary Care and Internal Medicine.  I have an extensive background in specialty arenas, hospital and pharmacy selling as well.  I have been charged with leaderships roles throughout my tenure such as mentoring, class counseling, science and selling facilitation and being involved with the new hire process. I have also had the opportunity to train and sell successfully within key therapeutic areas such as; cardiology, neurology, pain management, womens health, immunology and  respiratory/allergy.    Some other key highlights of my tenure with Merck include: Achievement of formulary and exclusive status for pharmaceuticals at multiple hospitals and institutions. Several Awards of Recognition for sales and performance, including a Region Leadership Award that is given to one representative per region for outstanding leadership skills.
