Momoko's Portfolio

A Japanese-American graphic designer born and raised in New Jersey, I studied Graphic Design at the Rhode Island School of Design. With a BFA, and after years of working for small to large scale clientele in diverse industries in and around New York City, I have decided to hop across the Atlantic to see what was on the other side. Absorbing new landscapes, experiencing different cultures and realizing the variety in visual communication is an inspiration to me in my design and personality. When not working on projects, I enjoy challenging myself with my next new adventure, including skydiving, hiking above the clouds, walking on the ocean floor, and especially dissecting maps.

I draw from a wide range of aesthetics and design expertise as a graphic designer who has worked in various industries from beauty to micro-electronics. My diverse background gives me the ability to generate innovative ideas, while keeping the end-user in mind. Concept and identity that is visually communicated honestly and innovatively is the objective of my designs. I am a creative and collaborative designer with extensive experience in brand development, package design, in-store graphics, and marketing/sales/promotional collateral. I am able to quickly generate new and innovative ideas while working closely with colleagues to drive projects through to completion. I have a personal interest in sustainability, design research, brand strategy, human factors, and social projects. Some of the services that I provide are: - establishing and maintaining brand consistency and 360 degree branding from Marketing/Brand strategy. - rebranding and launching new brands from concept to production. - problem solving merchandising, in-store graphics, and packaging issues focusing on quality, exposure, and marketability to customers. - designing PR materials, Marketing and Sales collateral, corporate identities, stationery, editorial layouts, package design, display, and signage. I am interested in full-time and consulting work.
