Public Speaking

I have presented many different topics throughout my internship and feel confident speaking in front of groups, a skill displayed in my Master's thesis proposal, various community outreach events, and cooking demo.

EPIC Electronic medical record software

I am competent in the use of Epic to document patient encounters and to assist in the assessment and monitor/evaluation of a patient's nutrition status.

Motivational Interviewing

Coursework in my undergraduate and graduate classes taught the important principles of this counseling style, and I had the opportunity to hone these skills in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

CBORD Foodservice suite

I used CBORD throughout my foodservice rotation at Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), for restaurant-style menu entry in my job as a diet clerk at RUMC, and for room service-style food selection entry as a diet clerk at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Health Informatics Infrastructure

Basic concepts for ANDHII, a method for tracking dietetics outcomes, were introduced with a short training session in a class given by its creator.
