I am an experienced technology manager who has earned a post-baccalaureate certificate in Computer Forensics from the University of Rhode Island, a masters degree in Public Administration, and continuing a second master’s degree in MIS online at Stevens Institute of Technology specializing in information security.

One of my personal missions in life is to help improve, unify, and secure down the often disparate information systems found within state and federal government agencies, educational institutions, and/or within the military in order to benefit the people and associates who need proper access. 

My previous experience is within mission critical banking and securities trading floor environments at Salomon Smith Barney, Citigroup, Credit Suisse First Boston, and RBS Citizens Bank. I am experienced working in networking, systems management, upgrades, and installation positions within retail and state supported higher education.

My strengths are in network systems integration, systems/server management, computer forensics, desktop support and end user software training and support. I've worked primarily with Windows Servers and Cisco network devices and my experience and training have allowed me to cover many different software and hardware tools.

I am seeking to build my knowledge base and improve my skills both in technical areas and in management- in particular systems/server administration, management, computer forensics, electronic discovery. I am interested in technology as it pertains to the law, procuring technology services to the public sector, and server and systems hardware/software integration.

Performed trading floor and data center server and patch cable installation, termination, troubleshooting. End-to End continuity testing over WAN and LAN. Integrated new server systems with existing network infrastructure. Ran fiber optic cabling, managed cable plant and infrastructure databases with AutoCad. Performed troubleshooting on high speed WAN and LAN devices including Cisco switches/routers, T1, T3, Sonnet connections, and firewall servers, SAN, NAS, Fibre channel arrays, RAID storage devices. Applied business continuity plans to recover several thousand banking server systems destroyed in the WTC disaster of Sept 11th. Approximately 10,000 end users supported.

As part of the Dunkin Donuts Distributed Commitment Program, I upgraded POS devices at DD locations in RI. and CT. I was a primary contact for installing Cisco 831, 837, 871, 1721 router hardware throughout southern Rhode Island and western Connecticut. Worked 1 on 1 with Verizon, Cox, Comcast engineers to complete/troubleshoot new VPN routers. Part-time, on-call, W2 basis.

Assisted f/t staff in managing support for Consumer Finance applications (Home loans, auto loans, retail banking, etc) and security for periodic review and audit in accordance with SOX. Monitored application support tracking systems (SQL / Active Directory) for user security account maintenance requests, follow up and issue resolution. Create and maintain documentation on application security procedures (Citirix applications, home loan apps, auto finance apps, FileNet) and back up documentation for application user security work including compliance documentation.
