Perform a complete and/or focused history and physical examination, Ensure complete and optimal care for ward and NeuroICU patients, Attend morning and evening ward rounds daily, Maintain all different chart notes and physician orders with accuracy, timeliness, and demonstration of thoughts and knowledge, Being on call as assigned by the chief resident ,Attend operations and clinics as directed by attending neurosurgeon, Maintain effective and professional working relationships with the team and other hospital stuff.
Conducting regular patient check-ups, Diagnosing any diseases, Prescribing medication, Providing advice to people on staying healthy, perform minor surgical procedure, Referring patients to specialists and consultants in hospital departments.
- Rotations: Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, Elective (Urology)
- Clinical Tasks: History taking and physical examination, Management of common clinical problems in both elective and emergency situations ,Recognition of the complications / deterioration in patient's condition and ask for help from the appropriate senior, Attend ward rounds and out-patients clinics and present the cases as per senior's discretion, To report adverse drug reactions
- Clerical Tasks: Write Admission notes, Patient progress notes, Investigation forms, Blood transfusion forms, Discharge summary.
- Practical Tasks: Blood collection, CPR, Simple suturing, Excision of lumps and bumps, Incision and drainage, Chest drain insertion and removal, Normal / Instrumental delivery, Episiotomy and suturing, Urethral catheterization, Abdominal tapping, Bone marrow aspiration, Pleural tapping, Lumbar puncture, Chest drain insertion and removal, Closed reduction for fractures, Dressing, Casting, Emergency lntraosseous Infusion
