Objective

To obtain social work empolyment after graduation in the area of children's mental health. I hope to obtain a position in which I may work closely assessing and/or providing direct service to children affected with mental health, developmental, emotional and behavioural needs, while also providing support to their families, as well.

Summary

Veronica Powell BA, MSW (Candidate) has direct experience supporting children affected with developmental, emotional, mental health and behavioural issues as well as their families. In particular, she has a well developed working knowledge in the areas of autism spectrum disorders, applied behavioural analysis and intensive behavioural intervention. Veronica has professional experience in the areas of individual and family counselling, assessing, advocacy and resource allocation. She is considered a trusted collaborator within a multidisciplinary team and is often recognized by supervisors for her ability to develop trusting relationships as well as maintain composure during high stress interactions
