2007 Chairman of the Board

Tipp City Area Chamber of Commerce
  • Elected to the Board of Directors in 2003 and served as 2007 Chairman of the Tipp City Area Chamber of Commerce functioning as the legislative head of the Chamber and presiding over all Chamber and Executive Board meetings. As presiding officer of the Chamber I drove financial clarity and accountability for the organization as well as designed a new membership fee schedule that supported operational excellence. I signed all formal documents and proclaimations. One of my personal achievements was to create a standard set of committees as well as an accoutability/governance team with which to regulate and guide activities of each committee. I sought out new ways to deliver value for Chamber members and ensure legislative awareness of our local officials through the production of "Meet the Candidate" events. The highlight of my tenure as Chairman was a visit by President George W. Bush to speak with Chamber of Commerce members about the volatility of the Iraq conflict.
