As Area Representative, I am responsible to recruit, qualify, and sign franchisees in the Florida West region (Tampa Bay & surrounding counties). Once onboard I provide franchisees with training, strategic planning, ongoing communications, and mentoring to build successful businesses using ABC's proven system.

Taking the Reins

Taking the Reins is the only organization of its kind in LA - dedicated to turning urban teen girls into courageous cowgirls capable of dealing with a horse and all of life's challenges.  We provide a safe, open space where girls can develop physically, mentally, and emotionally into confident young women.  I have served on the Board of Directors since 2004.


Director/Advertising Strategy and Pricing

Tribune/Los Angeles Times Media Group

Developed and managed strategies and processes for revenue planning (reporting, goal setting, tracking), sales strategy development (pricing and product packaging), and sales performance (compensation/incentive programs, standards, metrics and accountability.) Directed professional staff in new product development, sales training, advertising technology and systems, and project management support of department and cross-company projects.


Director/Organization Effectiveness, Advertising Department

Los Angeles Times

Directed projects to improve effective execution of the Advertising Department’s strategic and annual operating plans. Directed professional staff in project management support of department and cross-company projects. Partnered with HR on organizational development and performance management initiatives.


Director of Operations, Olympic Plant

Los Angeles Times

Led production for LA Times' largest printing and distribution facility with responsibility for 300+ production employees. Managed organizational initiatives and major projects such as the advertising (press) color expansion and plant consolidation. Developed skills of plant supervisors through leadership training and communication. Designed and implemented an employee recognition program for the Operations Department.


Director of Continuous Improvement

Los Angeles Times

Collaborated with operations management across three printing plants to enhance product quality and workplace effectiveness, and improve operational efficiency, resource utilization and operating costs. Facilitated plant efficiency teamwhose recommendations for restructuring led to a 20% workforce reduction and $3M savings. Directed organizational goal-setting to align goals across and within departments, and drive accountability for results through individual performance objectives. Guided development/enhancements of standard operating procedures and best practices across a three-plant system to reduce variation and improve performance to goals.

Tribune Corporate

In a variety of leadership roles, directed companywide integration, succession management, and leadership development programs for the Tribune Company. Planned, managed, and executed company-wide HR integration projects for the Tribune/Times Mirror merger.Led efforts to develop senior executives, key managers, and high potential employees to ensure management continuity for the company.  Directed major projects such as executive succession planning for annual Tribune Board of Directors presentation.
